The Trustees of the IFRS Foundation, responsible for the governance and oversight of the International Accounting Standards Board, today announced that Maria Helena Santana and Lynn Wood have been reappointed as Trustees, following approval from the IFRS Foundation Monitoring Board.
Mrs Santana is a former Chair and President of the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission and Ms Wood is a former Chairman of the Australian Financial Reporting Council and member of the Foreign Investment Review Board. Both will serve a second three-year term from 1 January 2017.
Michel Prada, Chairman of the IFRS Foundation Trustees, said:
Maria Helena and Lynn have been fully dedicated to the work of the IFRS Foundation Trustees throughout their first term and their contribution was highly appreciated. I am pleased that the Monitoring Board has endorsed our unanimous recommendation for both to serve second terms. I look forward to continuing to work with them over the coming years.
