Washington, D.C., Oct. 13, 2011 — The Securities and Exchange Commission Advisory Committee on Small and Emerging Companies today announced that it will hold its first meeting on Monday, October 31.
The Commission established the advisory committee last month to provide a formal mechanism for it to receive advice and recommendations specifically related to privately held small businesses and smaller publicly traded companies.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. at the SEC´s headquarters at 100 F Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. The event is open to the public, with seating on a first-come, first-served basis. It also will be webcast live on the SEC´s website, http://www.sec.gov/, and will be archived on the website for later viewing.
The full agenda for the meeting will be released before the meeting date.
