Event Description/Abstract:
Panelists George Batavick, Russ Golden, Jeffrey Mechanick, and Judy O’Dell will provide a mid-year FASB update. Moderated by Dennis Chookaszian, Chair of the Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council, the panelists will discuss recent activities impacting joint FASB/IASB projects, FASB projects to revise Statement 140 and FIN 46(R), and other FASB projects, including projects specific to not-for-profit organizations. The panelists also will discuss issues specific to private companies. George Batavick is a member of the FASB, Russ Golden is a FASB Director, Jeffrey Mechanick is a FASB project manager, and Judy O’Dell is Chair of the Private Company Financial Reporting Committee.
