FAF President and CEO Teresa S. Polley Launches Interactive Online News
Column—“From the President’s Desk”—to Enhance Constituent
Communication
Norwalk, CT, January 20, 2011—Financial
Accounting Foundation (FAF) President and CEO Teresa S. Polley has launched
“From the President’s Desk,” a new, informative news column designed to enhance
communication with constituents of the FAF, the Financial Accounting Standards
Board (FASB), and the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB). The online
column will appear regularly on the home page of the recently-launched FAF
website, www.accountingfoundation.org, and will allow readers to learn about FAF
activities while providing input on important issues.
“From the
President’s Desk” is intended to increase awareness of the FAF’s mission,
operations, and activities. It will also give readers and constituents the
opportunity to contact Ms. Polley with their feedback on financial reporting,
standard setting, and related issues of concern.
“Our hope is that our
constituents will not only come to better understand the role of the FAF in the
achievement of the missions of the FASB and the GASB, but also will become more
interested and engaged in the standard-setting process itself,” Ms. Polley notes
in her debut column, which can be found on the upper right of FAF’s home page.
Those interested in submitting comments or questions to Ms. Polley can
do so by e-mailing presidentsdesk@f-a-f.org.
