NOTICE OF MEETINGS
OPEN BOARD MEETING
(Board
meetings are available by audio webcast and telephone.)
No Board meetings are planned for the week of July 19, 2004. The
next Board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 27, and topics for that
meeting will be announced in next week’s issue of Action Alert.
OPEN EDUCATION SESSION
Tuesday, July 20, 2004, 9:00 a.m.
The Board will hold an educational, non-decision-making session to
discuss topics that are anticipated to be discussed at the Tuesday, July
27 Board meeting. Those topics will be posted to the FASB calendar four
days prior to the education session.
BOARD ACTIONS
No Board meetings were held during the week of July 5, 2004.
FSP STAFF POSITION GUIDANCE AVAILABLE
On July 16, 2004, a majority of the Board did not object to the release
of the proposed FSP FAS 142-b, "Application of FASB Statement No. 142,
Goodwill and Other Intangible Assets, to Oil- and Gas-Producing
Entities," for a 30-day comment period.
Comments are requested by August 17, 2004, and that proposed FSP will
be available on the FASB website by the close of business on Monday, July
19, 2004.
FASB TECHNICAL PLAN UPDATE AVAILABLE
The quarterly
update to the Board’s technical plan is available on the FASB
website. That update also will be included in the July issue of The
FASB Report.
