NOTICE OF MEETINGS
OPEN BOARD MEETING
(Board
meetings are available by audio webcast and telephone.)
Wednesday, August 24, 2005, 9:00 a.m.
- GAAP
hierarchy. The Board will consider comment letters received on
FASB Exposure Draft, The Hierarchy of Generally Accepted Accounting
Principles. The Board will discuss whether to proceed to a draft of
a final Statement. (Estimated 60-minute discussion.)
- Open discussion. If necessary, the Board will allow time to
discuss minor issues with staff members on technical projects or
administrative matters. Those discussions are held following regular
Board meetings as topics come up.
OPEN EDUCATION SESSION
Wednesday, August 24, 2005, following the Board meeting
The Board will hold an educational, non-decision-making session to
discuss topics that are anticipated to be discussed at the August 31,
2005, and September 7, 2005 Board meetings. Those topics will be posted to
the FASB calendar four
days prior to the education session.
BOARD ACTIONS
No Board meetings were held during the week of August 8,
2005.
NOTICE OF AN FASB PUBLIC ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION ON THE UNCERTAIN TAX
POSITIONS EXPOSURE DOCUMENT
The FASB will hold a roundtable discussion on its proposed
Interpretation, Uncertain Tax Positions, on October 10, 2005. The
Board invites individuals interested in participating in the roundtable
discussion to respond to director@fasb.org by Friday,
September 9, 2005. Those wishing to participate should include their name,
title, affiliation, email address, and telephone number.
