NOTICE OF MEETINGS
OPEN BOARD MEETING
(Board meetings are available by audio webcast and telephone.)
Wednesday, January 24, 2007, 9:00 a.m.
- Financial statement presentation (estimated 90-minute discussion). The Board will discuss the definition of discontinued operations, applying the working format to "hybrid" entities, and the statement of changes in equity and equity-related issues.
- Fair value option (estimated 15-minute discussion). The Board will discuss whether to add a scope exception to the forthcoming final Statement on the fair value option for financial assets and financial liabilities, for investments whose transfer is considered in-substance to be the sale of real estate.
- Open discussion. If necessary, the Board will allow time to discuss minor issues with staff members on technical projects or administrative matters. Those discussions are held following regular Board meetings as topics come up.

The Board will hold educational, non-decision-making sessions to discuss topics that are anticipated to be discussed at the January 30 and January 31, 2007 Board meetings. Those topics will be posted to the FASB calendar four days prior to the education sessions.
