AICPA and American Bar Association Join Forces on Corporate Governance Summit 

Sessions Emphasize Effective Collaboration Between the Accounting and Legal Professions

NEW YORK (May 7, 2013) – CPAs and lawyers both play critical roles in corporate governance, and practitioners of the two professions can serve their clients more effectively with better insight into each other´s duties and responsibilities. That is the guiding principle behind a new conference on collaboration strategies that will be jointly hosted next month by the American Institute of CPAs and the American Bar Association.

The Summit on Emerging Corporate Governance Trends for Lawyers & Accountants will be held June 6-7 at the Hotel Allegro in Chicago. The event highlights best practices for effective collaboration and communication between the two professions, and is designed for CPAs, attorneys, auditors, CEOs, risk management officers and other senior corporate executives.
