Regulators Issue Statement on Risks Related to Emerging Market Investments

The SEC has posted to its Web site a public statement on risks related to emerging market investments. Specifically, the statement highlights risks associated with emerging markets — including disclosure, oversight, and enforcement risks — and summarizes some of these risks and related considerations for companies, investors, auditors, and others.
