President Trump Appoints Acting SEC Chairman

The SEC has announced that President Donald Trump has appointed Elad L. Roisman as
acting SEC chairman. The agency had previously announced that Jay Clayton’s tenure
as SEC chairman would conclude at the end of 2020.
Mr. Roisman was named an SEC commissioner in September 2018. He previously served as
chief counsel on the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs.
