GASB Releases Proposal on Compensated Absences

The GASB has issued an exposure draft (ED), Compensated Absences. The ED addresses “circumstances under which governments would be required to recognize a liability for compensated absences and proposes guidance for measuring that liability.” Comments on the ED are due by June 4, 2021.
