FASB Proposes GAAP Taxonomy Enhancements Related to SEC Guidance

The FASB has issued release notes related to proposed enhancements that the Board would make to the U.S. GAAP Financial Reporting Taxonomy to reflect certain guidance in SEC Final Rule Release No. 33-11070, Updating EDGAR Filing Requirements and Form 144 Filings — specifically that on annual reports for employee benefit plans under Form 11-K.

Comments on the proposal are due by November 10, 2023.
