SEC Holds “SEC Speaks in 2025” Conference

The SEC, in coordination with the Practising Law Institute, held its “SEC Speaks in
2025” conference on May 19–20. In his prepared remarks, SEC Chairman Paul Atkins stressed the importance
of the SEC’s role in promoting innovation in the markets, particularly with respect to
crypto assets. Other SEC priorities addressed by Mr. Atkins included the agency’s
Strategic Hub for Innovation and Financial Technology (known as "FinHub"), private fund
investments, and the consolidated audit trail.
