AICPA Releases New Chapter of Practice Aid on Digital Assets
September 5, 2025
The AICPA has released a new chapter of its practice aid on digital assets to address
auditing considerations related to crypto lending and borrowing transactions.
Specifically, the new chapter addresses scenarios in which a borrower of a crypto
intangible asset is required and not required to post collateral. The discussion
includes “sample audit procedures from both the lender’s perspective and the
borrower’s perspective.”
