Hillary Salo Appointed as Chair of FASB

The Financial Accounting Foundation’s (FAF’s) board of trustees has announced that Hillary Salo has been appointed chair of the FASB to replace Richard Jones, who steps down on June 30, 2027. Ms. Salo’s term begins on July 1, 2027, and ends on June 30, 2034.

Simultaneously, the FAF issued a call for nominations to fill the Board vacancy left by Ms. Salo. This appointment will also begin on July 1, 2027, and will be for a five-year term.
