SEC Announces Renewal of Advisory Committee on Small and Emerging Companies

The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced the renewal of its Advisory Committee on Small and Emerging Companies, which will continue to focus on interests and priorities of small businesses and smaller public companies. 

The advisory committee was originally established on Oct. 4, 2011, to operate for a term of two years.  

Since it was established, the advisory committee has provided recommendations to the Commission regarding rules, regulations, and policies as they relate to emerging companies with less than $250 million in public market capitalization in the areas of:

The advisory committee will continue to advise and consult with the Commission on these issues.
