PCAOB Reschedules Open Meeting to Consider 2017 Budget and Related Strategic Plan on November 17

WASHINGTON, Nov. 8, 2016

The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board today announced that it is postponing consideration of its budget for the 2017 fiscal year and the related strategic plan. The open Board meeting scheduled for Wednesday, November 9 has been rescheduled for Thursday, November 17 at 10 a.m. EST.

Section 109(b) of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 requires the PCAOB to establish a budget for each fiscal year no later than one month prior to the commencement of that fiscal year. The PCAOB fiscal year is the calendar year. If approved by the Board, the budget will be submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission for approval, as required by Section 109(b) of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

The rescheduled meeting, which is open to the public, will take place in the PCAOB meeting room at 1666 K St. NW, Washington, DC and will be webcast via a link on the PCAOB website.
