IFRS Conference Singapore

29 and 30 May 2014, Marina Bay Sands Hotel, Singapore

The conference brings together leaders in financial reporting from the private sector, regulatory bodies and members of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), as well as accounting professionals and others with an interest in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

The conference offers a unique opportunity to be updated by members of the IASB on its active projects as well as on its future plans.  IASB members will set out how they are responding to the feedback received, and how they expect the IASB work plan to evolve. Presenters include Hans Hoogervorst (IASB Chairman), IASB members—Stephen Cooper, Sue Lloyd, Patricia McConnell, Chungwoo Suh—and other IFRS experts.  Separate expert panel discussions, dedicated to the topical financial reporting issues of IFRS Disclosures and Financial Instruments, will take place during the conference.

Technical break out sessions conducted by IASB members will provide a forum to discuss major projects on the IASB’s active agenda in more detail.

In addition, pre-conference special interest sessions will provide an excellent opportunity to learn from the experiences of those who have already implemented, or are preparing to implement, major new IFRSs.  A separate parallel session dedicated to an investor focused IFRS update will also be provided for investment professionals, investor relations officers and analysts.
