IFRS Foundation Trustees to meet in Paris

The Trustees of the IFRS Foundation are meeting in Paris, France, from 31 January to 2 February. 

For the second time, the Trustees' Due Process Oversight Committee's (DPOC) discussions take place in public. The agenda papers are available here. The DPOC in responsible for ensuring the International Accounting Standards Board has followed all the required steps in the standard-setting process. Final Tommaso Padoa-Schioppa (TPS) lecture

In conjunction with the Trustees' meeting, on 1 February the IFRS Foundation is organising the final TPS lecture. This is a stakeholder event organised in memory of the late Trustee Chair Tommaso Padoa-Schioppa and will feature Jean-Claude Trichet as the keynote speaker this year.

Trichet’s speech will be followed by a panel discussion on the topic of “Accounting post financial crisis – Lessons drawn and new challenges”. The panellists include Patrick de Cambourg, President of the ANC; Frédéric Oudéa, Chief Executive Officer of Société Générale; Steven Maijoor, Chair of ESMA; and Hans Hoogervorst, Chairman of the International Accounting Standards Board. The panel will be moderated by Nicolas Véron, Senior Fellow at Bruegel and a visiting fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics in Washington, DC. This is an invitation-only event.
