IFRS Foundation Trustees reappoint four IFRS Interpretations Committee members

The Trustees of the IFRS Foundation have announced that Carl Douglas, Mikael Hagström, Bruce Mackenzie and Bonnie Van Etten have been reappointed to the IFRS Interpretations Committee for a second three-year term, starting 1 July 2017.

Carl Douglas is Corporate Controller at CCR Group, a listed Brazilian-based international investor and operator of transportation infrastructure. Mikael Hagström works as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles in China. Bruce Mackenzie is the Managing Partner of W Consulting International in South Africa. Bonnie Van Etten works as NAFTA Chief Accounting Officer at FCA US LLC in the United States.

The IFRS Interpretations Committee is the interpretative body of the International Accounting Standards Board. It comprises 14 voting members drawn from a variety of countries and professional backgrounds.

The Trustees of the IFRS Foundation are responsible for the governance and oversight of the IFRS Interpretations Committee, including appointing its Chair and members.

Commenting on the reappointments, Sheila Fraser, Chair of the Trustees' Nominating Committee, said:

'The members of the IFRS Interpretations Committee play an important role in supporting the implementation and application of IFRS Standards. I am delighted that Carl, Mikael, Bruce and Bonnie have all agreed to serve a second term on the Committee.'
