The Trustees of the IFRS Foundation, led by Michel Prada and responsible for the governance and oversight of the International Accounting Standards Board (the Board), have announced that Françoise Flores will join as a Board member on 1 January 2017.
Ms Flores has almost four decades of experience with financial reporting both from a company perspective and from a standard-setting point-of-view. From 2010 until April 2016, she served as Chief Executive Officer of the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) and Chairman of EFRAG’s Technical Expert Group (TEG). Most recently, she had returned to work as a partner at accountancy firm Mazars in Paris, France.
Ms Flores has over 20 years involvement in financial reporting practice and
conduct of business, including 10 years as Chief Financial Officer, in the
context of both listed and private groups, including CFO of BPI Group,
Intertechnique subsidiary IN-LHC and Thomson Group subsidiary Auxilec
SA.

and the IFRS Foundation very closely for many years, I am grateful for the

financial reporting standards that are applied globally.
Ms Flores is appointed for an initial five-year term, expiring 31 December 2021.
