The International Accounting Standards Board (Board) will host its fourth Research Forum on 28 and 29 November 2017 in Brussels, Belgium, and is now calling for people with backgrounds other than academia to express their interest in attending the event.
This yearly event brings together members of the academic community, professional accountants and other stakeholders and provides a forum for debate among them. It enables the Board to get a broader range of different perspectives on topics of interest, which contributes to better-informed decision making.
The Board hosts the research forum with an academic journal. This year’s forum will be held in conjunction with Accounting in Europe and the European Accounting Review, which are the journals of the European Accounting Association (EAA).
Due to the restricted number of attendees, those with an interest in attending are asked to register their interest by 1 September 2017. The registration form and further information about the event can be found here.
