Consolidation with VRF expected to complete on 1 August 2022
The IFRS Foundation Trustees and Value Reporting Foundation (VRF) announced an
expected target date for the consolidation of the VRF into the IFRS Foundation
on 1 August 2022.
IFRS Foundation launches Montreal ISSB centre
The IFRS Foundation announced a package of key actions to
obtain the financial support of the Government of Canada and the Government of
Quebec to help fully establish the ISSB within the Canadian sustainability
ecosystem.
Appointment of new members to the ISSB
The IFRS Foundation Trustees announced the appointment of six members to the ISSB,
making the board quorate. Richard Barker, Verity Chegar, Bing Leng and Ndid Nnoli-Edozien
were announced on 8 June 2022, and Jeffrey Hales and Michael Jantzi were announced on 24 June
2022.
ISSB and GRI provide update on ongoing collaboration
Technical representatives from the ISSB and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) met in May to begin work on
delivering the agreed MoU.
Keynote addresses delivered at the IFRS Foundation Conference 2022
Conclusion of the Post-implementation Review of IFRS 10, IFRS 11 and IFRS 12
The IASB has published a Project Report and Feedback Statement concluding its
Post-implementation Review of these accounting standards: IFRS 10 Consolidate
Financial Statements, IFRS 11 Joint Arrangements and IFRS 12
Disclosures of Interests in Other Entities.
Four new appointments to the SME Implementation Group
The IFRS Foundation has appointed four new members to the SME Implementation
Group for a three-year term starting 1 July 2022.
