    Michel Madelain appointed as IFRS Foundation Managing Director
The Trustees of the IFRS Foundation have announced the
                    appointment of Michel Madelain as Managing Director of the IFRS
                    Foundation for a two-year term beginning 9 September 2024.
        IFC and IFRS Foundation announce partnership to improve sustainability reporting in emerging markets
The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, and
                the IFRS Foundation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding agreeing their strategic
                    partnership to strengthen sustainable capital markets by
                improving sustainability and climate reporting in emerging markets and developing
                economies.
        2024 IFRS Foundation Conference
The IFRS Foundation’s annual conference took place on 24−25 June 2024. Recordings of
                the IASB and ISSB Chairs’ keynote speeches are available to watch
                on demand. Andreas Barckow’s keynote—Complexity in focus—has also been
                transcribed.
        IFRS Foundation Trustees appoint three new IFRS Interpretations Committee members
The Trustees of the IFRS Foundation announced the appointments of Mark Mahar, Natsumu Tsujino and Leon Yongbum
                    Kim to the IFRS Interpretations Committee (Committee). Mr Mahar,
                Ms Tsujino and Mr Yongbum Kim succeed Guy Jones, Goro Kumagai and Jon Nelson
                respectively. The new Committee members will start their three-year terms on 1 July
                2024.

        Erkki Liikanen delivers opening remarks at Trustees’ stakeholder dinner in Singapore
The Trustees of the IFRS Foundation met in Singapore on 4 June 2024. Chair Erkki Liikanen delivered a speech at the stakeholder
                dinner organised in conjunction with the meeting.
            Papers for the public Due Process Oversight Committee meeting on 4-6 June also are
                available.
        ISSB delivers further harmonisation of the sustainability disclosure landscape as it embarks on new work plan
This announcement covers strategic partnership developments,
                the publication of the ISSB’s Feedback Statement Consultation on Agenda Priorities and
                key engagements at the IFRS Foundation Conference and London Climate Action
                Week.
        IASB unanimously agrees to finalise revision of the Management Commentary Practice Statement
At its meeting on 19 June, the IASB unanimously decided to move forward with
                    finalising the revision of IFRS Practice Statement 1 Management
                        Commentary by making targeted refinements to its
                proposals set out in the Exposure Draft Management Commentary.
        IASB issues call for papers for the 2025 IASB Research Forum
The IASB has issued a call for papers for the 2025 IASB Research Forum.
