Richard Jones Named Next FASB Chairman

The Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF) has announced that Richard R. Jones will succeed Russell G. Golden as the next chairman of the FASB.

Mr. Jones’s term will begin on July 1, 2020, and end on June 30, 2023, at which time he will be eligible for a second three-year term.

Mr. Jones is chief accountant and partner at Ernst & Young LLP. He is a former member of the FASB’s Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council and the AICPA’s Accounting Standards Executive Committee.
