PCAOB Issues Publication on Audits Involving Cryptoassets

The PCAOB has issued a spotlight, Audits Involving Cryptoassets: Information for Auditors and Audit Committees. The spotlight highlights “considerations for addressing certain responsibilities under PCAOB standards for auditors of issuers transacting in or holding cryptoassets” and includes questions to ask auditors when cryptoassets or holdings are material to an issuer’s financial statements.
