SEC Provides Temporary Relief to Market Participants Affected by Coronavirus

The SEC has issued a temporary final rule and an order to provide “:additional temporary regulatory relief to market participants in response to the effects of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).”

The temporary file rule provides “temporary relief from the Form ID notarization process for certain filers and extend the filing deadlines for specified reports and forms due pursuant to Regulation Crowdfunding and Regulation A for certain issuers.”

The order provides “temporary conditional exemption from certain requirements of the Exchange Act for municipal advisors.”
