PCAOB Aligns Interim Independence Standards With SEC Regulation

The PCAOB has issued a final rule, Amendments to PCAOB Interim Independence Standards and PCAOB Rules to Align With Amendments to Rule 2-01 of Regulation S-X. Specifically, the final rule makes “targeted amendments to the PCAOB’s interim independence standards and Part 5 of the Rules of the Board, Ethics and Independence, to conform with changes by the SEC in 2019 and 2020 to Rule 2-01 of the SEC’s Regulation S-X.”
