FASB Issues Educational Paper on Borrower’s Accounting for Debt Restructurings and Modifications

The FASB staff has issued an educational paper, Topic 470 (Debt): Borrower’s Accounting
for Debt Modifications. The educational paper provides an “overview of the
accounting guidance for debt restructurings and modifications and provides examples
of common restructurings and modifications.”
