New York State Issues Regulations Related to Reporting of Greenhouse Gas Emissions

The Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) in New York State has released final regulations as part of its Mandatory Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Reporting Program. Specifically, among other requirements, entities within the scope of the regulations will need to annually report, starting in June 2027, GHG data that reflect the emissions for the prior year.
