FASB Discusses Intangible Assets and Goodwill

At its June 23, 2021, meeting, the FASB discussed its project on identifiable intangible assets and the subsequent accounting for goodwill. The discussion focused on the unit of account for goodwill impairment testing as well as the frequency and timing of such testing. No decisions were made during this meeting.
