FASB Staff Issues Proposed GAAP Taxonomy Implementation Guide Related to Debt Securities

The FASB staff has issued a proposed GAAP taxonomy implementation guide, Financial Instruments — Debt Securities. The proposal includes “new elements in the first example to accommodate common reporting practices in modeling disclosures of debt securities.” Comments on the proposed taxonomy implementation guide are due by July 9, 2021.
