SEC Proposes Framework for the Registration of Security-Based Swap Execution Facilities

The SEC has issued a proposal
Rules Relating to Security-Based Swap Execution and Registration and Regulation
of Security-Based Swap Execution Facilities. The proposed rules would
“create a regime for the registration and regulation of security-based swap
execution facilities” and “implement the ‘trade execution requirement’ for
security-based swaps.”
Comments on the proposal are due 60 days after the date of its publication on the
SEC’s Web site or 30 days after the date of its publication in the Federal
Register, whichever period is longer.
