PCAOB Chair Sworn In

On January 10, 2022, Erica Williams was sworn in as PCAOB chair during a virtual ceremony conducted by the SEC. She succeeds Duane DesParte, a PCAOB board member who had recently served as acting chair of the organization. Ms. Williams was most recently a litigation partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP and previously served as special assistant and associate counsel to President Barack Obama.

Ms. Williams’s initial term will expire on October 24, 2024.
