AICPA Issues Proposed SAS Related to Audits of Group Financial Statements

The AICPA’s Auditing Standards Board has issued a proposed SAS that would “strengthen the auditor’s approach to planning and performing a group audit and . . . improve the quality of group audits.” Comments on the proposed SAS are due by June 21, 2022.
