SEC Issues Staff Bulletin on Making Account Recommendations to Retail Investors

The SEC has issued a staff bulletin, Standards of Conduct for Broker-Dealers and Investment Advisers Account Recommendations for Retail Investors. The staff bulletin, which is in a Q&A format, “provides staff views on how broker-dealers, investment advisers, and their associated persons can satisfy their obligations to retail investors when making account recommendations.”
