FASB Staff Issues Proposed GAAP Taxonomy Implementation Guide Related to Assets and Liabilities

The FASB staff has issued a proposed GAAP taxonomy implementation guide, Disclosures About Offsetting Assets and Liabilities. The proposal includes “updates to examples to help users of the Taxonomy understand how the modeling for balance-sheet offsetting is structured within the Taxonomy.” Comments on the proposed taxonomy implementation guide are due by June 17, 2022.
