SEC Proposes Enhancements to Fund Naming Under Investment Company Act

The SEC has issued a proposed
rule, Investment Company Names. The proposal would
“enhance and modernize the Investment Company Act ‘Names Rule’ to address changes in
the fund industry and compliance practices that have developed in the approximately
20 years since the rule was adopted.”
Comments on the proposed rule are due 60 days after the date of its publication in
the Federal Register.
