SEC Proposes Rule to Modernize Submission of Certain Materials Under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934

The SEC has issued a proposed
rule, Electronic Submission of Certain Materials Under the
Securities Exchange Act of 1934; Amendments Regarding the FOCUS Report. The
primary purpose of the proposal is to modernize the Commission’s “information
collection and analysis methods by, among other things, proposing that a number of
filings be submitted to the Commission electronically on EDGAR using structured data
where appropriate.”
Comments on the proposed rule are due 30 days after the date of its publication in
