PCC Holds April 18 Meeting

The Private Company Council (PCC) held a meeting with the FASB on April 18, 2024. Topics
discussed at the meeting included:
- Priorities for the PCC’s agenda.
- The PCC’s decision not to add a project on stock compensation disclosures to its agenda.
- An update on the FASB’s project on accounting for and disclosure of software costs.
- The FASB’s recent decisions in its project on accounting for government grants.
- Private companies’ implementation of the guidance on credit losses in ASC 326.
- The PCC’s support for the guidance in FASB Accounting Standards Update No. 2024-01, Scope Application of Profits Interest and Similar Awards.
- Feedback received at the March 2024 liaison meeting with the Small Business Committee of the Institute of Management Accountants.
