SEC Issues Final Rule on Registered Index-Linked Annuities
July 2, 2024
The SEC has released a final rule
that amends “the form currently used by most variable annuity separate accounts,
Form N-4, to require issuers of [registered indexed-linked annuities (RILAs)] to
register offerings on that form as well.” The amendments are intended “to help
investors make informed decisions” by modernizing and enhancing “the registration
and disclosure framework for RILAs.”
