GASB Publishes Preliminary Views Proposal Related to Infrastructure Assets

The GASB has released for public comment a preliminary views document that requests feedback on its project related to the accounting and financial reporting for infrastructure assets, which is still “at a relatively early stage.” The project’s purpose is to improve the information provided to financial statement users regarding “the condition of infrastructure assets and how the government is maintaining those assets.”
