FASB Posts FASAC Meeting Recap

The FASB’s Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council (FASAC) held a meeting on March 10, 2026. Topics discussed at the meeting included the following:

• An update on the status of the topics/projects addressed in the FASB’s 2025 agenda consultation. The discussion centered on the Board’s criteria for making agenda decisions.
• Current macroeconomic trends, including a greater investment in data centers, increased use of artificial intelligence, and the growth in private credit transactions.
• The effects of technological advancements on standard setting.
