FASB and ASBJ Hold Meeting

The FASB and Accounting Standards Board of Japan (ASBJ) held their 36th bilateral meeting at the FASB’s offices in Norwalk on July 31, 2026. The meeting is “part of a series of meetings between the FASB and the ASBJ to further the Boards’ cooperative efforts to develop high-quality global accounting standards.” In addition to sharing updates with each other on their activities, the two boards discussed certain topics in which they both “have interest” (e.g., financial instruments, business combinations).
