FASB Releases IAC Meeting Recap

The FASB has posted to its Web site the meeting recap for the November 20, 2025, meeting of the Board’s Investor Advisory Committee (IAC). Topics discussed at the meeting included:

• Recent technology-sector developments, including “(1) the extension of useful lives of technology-specific assets, (2) the prevalence of leasing arrangements of technology assets, and (3) the circular nature of transactions within the artificial intelligence (AI) industry.”
• Updates on current FASB projects, including those addressed in the Board’s invitation to comment on its agenda consultation.
• An overview of the FASB’s project on targeted improvements to the equity method of accounting.
• The consolidation model for business entities.

The next IAC meeting is expected to be held in May 2026.
