CAQ Releases Audit Partner Pulse Survey
July 16, 2026
The Center for Audit Quality (CAQ) has released its audit partner pulse survey for the spring of 2026. The
purpose of this biannual survey is to gather the views of audit partners from major
public-company audit firms on the evolving state of the business environment in the
United States. While respondents’ overall views on the economy have remained fairly
steady since the fall 2025 survey, a shift has been observed in the “risk
landscape.” Most notably, survey responses revealed that artificial intelligence and
technological disruption are projected to be the greatest risks facing companies
over the next year, followed by geopolitical instability and cybersecurity threats.
Trade tensions and regulatory uncertainty were seen as less pressing concerns than
in the fall 2025 survey.
