PCAOB Establishes New Firm Consultation Process
June 26, 2026
The PCAOB has announced that it has launched a new firm consultation process that “will allow
registered public accounting firms to submit questions directly to OCA staff and
receive informal staff views regarding the implementation of new standards and
application of existing standards.” The overall objective of the new process, which
is directed by the PCAOB’s Office of the Chief Auditor, is to provide registered
firms with “more timely and consistent guidance from PCAOB staff.” Registered firms
can request a new consultation by filling out a consultation intake form.
