FASB Releases PCC March Meeting Recap

The FASB’s Private Company Council (PCC) held a meeting on March 3, 2026. Topics
discussed at the meeting included:
- The PCC’s current agenda priorities, including its research projects on “(1) subjective acceleration clauses and related debt disclosures, (2) lease accounting simplifications, and (3) debt modifications and extinguishments and troubled debt restructurings.”
- One PCC member’s presentation of academic research related to private-company financial reporting on the basis of a survey conducted with 542 private companies.
- The FASB’s addition of projects to its technical agenda on the basis of feedback on its 2025 invitation to comment on its agenda consultation.
