SEC Issues Final Rule to Modernize Market Data Infrastructure

The SEC has issued a final rule, Market Data Infrastructure. The final rule amends Regulation NMS under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 to “modernize the infrastructure for the collection, consolidation, and dissemination of market data for exchange-listed national market system stocks (‘NMS market data’).”
