SEC Makes Inflation Adjustments
September 9, 2022
The SEC has issued a final
rule to make certain inflation adjustments in response to a
mandate of the Jumpstart Our Business Startups (JOBS) Act, which requires the
Commission to make such adjustments at least once every five years. Specifically,
the purpose of the final rule is to “adjust the thresholds in the definition of
‘emerging growth company’ as well as dollar amounts in Regulation Crowdfunding.”
The final rule will become effective 30 days after the date of its publication in the
Federal Register. For more information, see the press
release and fact
sheet on the SEC’s Web site.
